Founded in 1978, Apple Ridge Farm (ARF), a non-profit organization, transforms the lives of underserved children and families through engagement in unparalleled educational, cultural and outdoor experiences. Our flagship program is the Academic Summer Camp. The camp is income-based. Most campers attend at no cost. Some activities include organic gardening (items are sold at farmer’s markets in the summer and fall), swimming, teambuilding, STEM project-based learning, and environmental education. Throughout the year, ARF provides environmental education and outdoor adventure programs to all. Additionally, ARF offers facility and activity rentals – great for weddings, conferences, retreats, family events and more.
Camps are free to underserved youth and offer team building, sports, environmental education, organic gardening, and STEM programs. “Apple Ridge Farm Grows!” is a new agricultural education initiative giving children the opportunity to raise produce and sell it at farmer’s markets.
