The Guide to Floyd Food is intended to support local, sustainable food production in Floyd County, VA. Local food is the food that is grown or processed here in the county and is available as a resource for local customers as well as visitors. The guide focuses on small local operations, businesses that create a high-quality product and try to keep their environmental footprint small. The guide is sponsored by SustainFloyd, a rural nonprofit in the Blue Ridge Mountains that undertakes projects to support the environment, agriculture, renewable energy, and community well-being.
